About Doctor

Dr. Omesh Goyal is a consultant in the Gastroenterology department at DMC and Hospital since 2010. He has a vast experience of treating various gastro-intestinal and liver disorders; and performing all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures like upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, E.R.C.P., E.U.S. (Endoscopic Ultrasound) etc. He has gained special expertise in managing gastrointestinal motility and functional bowel disorders, and is in charge of the GI Motility Lab which has facilities of carrying out various investigations like Hydrogen Breath testing, Esophageal and Ano-rectal High resolution manometry, 24 hour pH-Impedance study, Biofeedback therapy, Colonic transit time study, etc.

Dr. Goyalhas gained recognition at various national and international platforms with many accolades to his credit. He is the only 2nd Indian to be selected as a member of the Rome Partners Education Committee, Rome Foundation, USA. He has been awarded the Fellowship of several national societies - Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG), Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL), and Indian Association of Clinical Medicine. He is the member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India.He has received multiple awards including the prestigious‘National Scholar Award’ at Sweden in 2011.

He has authored more than 85 academic papers/books and presented research papers at several national and international conferences. Dr. Goyal has been an invited faculty member at numerous national and international conferences and has presented extensively on emerging research in gastrointestinal health, liver diseases, and neurogastroenterology. 

His academic leadership is demonstrated through his role as an editorial board member for multiple medical journals, where he has worked to ensure high standards of scientific rigor and innovation in published research. He has >15 years of experience in teaching young gastroenterologists.

His involvement in shaping Indian guidelines for various gastrointestinal disorders and his contributions to clinical trials and research protocols reflect his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care.
