About Doctor

Myself, Dr Rama Gupta did my MSc (Hons) Microbiology and PhD in Medical Microbiology  from Panjab University, Chandiagarh.  Presently working as Professor in Department of Microbiology at DMC&H, Ludhiana (NABH accredited) with 31 years of expertese in the field of Medical Microbiology. I am life member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiology, Indian Association of Mycoplasmology, Gastrointestinal infection society of India and Hosital Associated infection Control Society of India. In addition to the formal education, I had received various trainings in the field of diagnostic Microbiology, quality management systems and education science technology. I am certified internal auditor of National Accreditation Board for Testing and calibration Laboratories (NABL), a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India and master trainer under Revised national Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP, India). I have also been designated quality manager of the diagnostic Microbiology lab of our institutuion for NABL accrediatation and is well versed with all the manual and advanced diagnostic facilities available in the department. I was awarded outstanding teacher award in the Para clinical subjects, DMC & H for the year 1999-2000 and awarded excellence in teaching award in non- clinical group for the year 2000-2001. I have more than 60 publications in international and national indexed journals.
